Happy New Year my friends! I just know this is our year. It's going to rock! Can't you feel it?!
This year My Merry Messy Life & I are taking on a challenge, and we would love for you to join us. I'm sure you've noticed how crazy this world can be. I believe that this year is a year of change, and we need to involve our children in this change because...well...our children are our future!
We challenge you, as a family, to do a random act of kindness for each week of 2013. Now, this may seem overwhelming, but we promise to go easy on you. Each week we will post a prompt for you to do as a family. Each prompt will be kid friendly. We will be sharing our experiences the following week with a new prompt for you. We realize life is hectic so we will try to make it so that we do a few simple ones and one big-ish one per month.
We will have a link up for you to share your experiences of the previous week as well. No worries if you skip here and there or do something different to fit in with your schedule/lifesyle. The point is, we all need to be kind. We need to teach our children to be kind. Kindness is contagious...so please, catch it and pass it on!
So, who's with us?! Grab the button and leave a comment telling me you're in so I can get excited!
(Stay tuned for the first prompt coming later this week!)
*You do not need to have a blog or post about it weekly to participate. It's just to inspire each other if you can.*

Here are some other things you can do to make this year a good one:
Take some time for yourself to dive into God's Word. Share and learn from everyone else who is doing the same with #SheReadsTruth.
Grab this ah-mazing eBook Teach Me To Serve: 99 Ways Preschoolers Can Learn to Serve and Bless Others. by Kristen Summers (read our review of the ebook here). It's a great start to teaching your children to be givers.
